Mosaic is the art of creating images with an assemblage of small piecesof colored glass, stone, or othr materials. It maybe a technique of decorative art, an aspect of interior decoration, or of cultural and spiritual significance as in acathedral. Small pieces, normally roughly quadratic, of stone or glass of different colors, know as tesserae, are use to crete a patter or picture.
