U.S. Tile Consumption of Imports Rise Recently.

Ceramic  tileAccording to the U.S. Department of Commerce recently released data, U.S. tile total consumption grew by 12% at the third quarter of 2013, imports increased by 14%. Among them, the top three countries of origin tile exports to the U.S. were Mexico, China, Italy.  The t the top three larges ceramic tile exports amount of  countries to the U.S. were Italy, China, Mexico.

Data show at the third quarter of 2013, the total U.S. consumption of tiles is around 176 million square meters(about 1.892 billion square feet of raw data), an increase of 12%; imports of 122 million square meters(about 1.31 billion square feet of raw data),  an increase of 14%; exports 2,889,300 square meters(31,100,000 square feet of raw data), down 11.9%.

American tile industry estimates that from 2014 to 2017, the U.S. ceramic tile market demand will have a growth rate of around 7%, consumption will reach 2.787 billion square meters.
