How to Care for Wood Grain Ceramic Tiles.

Ceramic tiles come in many colors, designs and even textures. While most ceramic tiles are smooth-surfaced, wood grain ceramic tiles are usually textured similar to wood to achieve a realistic appearance. Wood grain ceramic tiles are beautiful but they do have a slight downside compared to other tiles — the grooves in the texture trap dust and debris.Keeping the tiles clean is a vital part of caring for them.
1.Dust wood grain ceramic tiles every day, whether the tiles are flooring or wall tiles. Use a dust mop for flooring and a dust cloth for wall tiles. This prevents dust from settling in layers in the grooves and making the tiles look dirty.

2.Clean up spills immediately when they occur. Water spills are not such a big deal, but food and liquids such as juice or sodas are more difficult to clean off these tiles once they dry. Use clean rags or paper towels to sop up the liquid and then use rags dampened in water to rinse the area.
3.Wet-mop wood grain ceramic floors at least once a week, even if you have spilled nothing on them. General dust from the air will collect on the tiles, even if you dust them daily. Mopping weekly prevents you having to scrub harder later to get the tiles clean. Use either dish soap and water or a ceramic tile cleaner. If you use dish soap, add 1 tbsp. per gallon of warm water. After mopping with the soapy solution, mop with rinse water to remove the dish soap.
Wash wall tiles with rags or sponges dipped in the same soapy solution, followed by rags damp with plain water.

4.Dry these tiles with soft towels. Use any clean bath towel. If you choose to air dry the floors, you may end up with water spots caused by minerals in the water — this is more likely a problem if you have hard water.
