China Ceramic Tile Industry Rise The Low-carbon Heating Environmental Certification.(9/21/2011)

Recently, China Quality Certification Center (CQC) issued a number of PCF-2011-0001 product "carbon footprint" certificate issued to Xinyi Ceramics (China) Co., Ltd. This is the first PAS2050 certificate issued by CQC. This marks Xinyi Ceramics (China) Co., Ltd., after verification by IS014064 last year, becoming the first company to verification by the ISO14064 and the PAS2050 tile manufacturers.

PAS2050 specification was developed by the Carbon Trust and the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural co-sponsored Division. It is a publicly available specification established by the British Standards Institute to evaluate the product life cycle greenhouse gas emissions. The purpose is to evaluate a single product (either goods or services) in its entire life cycle (from cradle to gate) of the carbon footprint assessment.

Carbon footprint indicates "carbon consumption" by a person or group. "Carbon" is the oil, coal, timber and other natural resources of carbon elements. The more "Carbon" consume, the much more the culprit of global warming--"carbon dioxide" made, more "carbon footprint" on the large, otherwise the "carbon footprint" is small. For example, a person drives a car on the highway turn around and then left a carbon footprint. Overall, the "carbon footprint" refers to a person's energy awareness and behavior impact on the natural world.
