Guangdong ceramic products export steadily grows(8/24/2011)

Guangzhou Customs statistics said that this year from January to July, Guangdong exported ceramics product $31.2 billion, increases 20.3% than the corresponding period last year, which make Asean and emerging market ceramic export growth stronger. At the same period ceramic which Guangdong export to Asean growth nearly 30%.

The European Union, The Asean and the United States are the three major export markets of Guangdong Ceramic. From January to July, Guangdong exports $500 million ceramic to Europe, increasing 11.5%; export $460 million to the Asean, increasing 28.2%; export to USA $270 million, increasing 23.9%. Above three total share 39.6% of the whole value ceramic export enterprises at the same period in Guangdong.

The data shows, this year from January to July, China ceramic production center Foshan export ceramic products $1.47 billion, an increase of 21.1%, occupy 47.1% in the same period of the whole value of ceramic export enterprises in Guangdong. Over the same period, Shenzhen export $650 million, a 28.3% growth; Chaozhou export $570 million, an increase of 15%, occupy 18.2%.

The customs department analyses that, emerging market demands growing steadily, which is one of the main reasons for Guangdong ceramic products export steady growth. Recently, Guangdong keeps maintain fast growth to the asean market, Besides that, Guangdong export to other emerging market, which is on the rise.

From January to July, Guangdong ceramic export $330 million to Latin American, an increase of 37.3%, among which export $100 billion to Brazilian, an increase of 68.2%; to Saudi Arabia, India and Iran export value increase has reach 26.3%,47.2% and 24.5% respectively. For above emerging countries and regions(including Asean) share of exports accounted for 35% of the same period in Guangdong ceramic exports, the proportion of expanded by 3.2% over the same period last years.

The customs department says that in recently years, Guangdong ceramics export price level has improved by the standardize market order, pay attention to upgrade the quality of products. From this January to July, the price index of Guangdong ceramic export rose 27%, compensating for its influence of quantity declining 10.8%
