New Quality Supervision Regulation on Ceramic Tiles Will Put in Practice from October(7/18/2011)

Recently, the state quality inspection administration has issued a new Ceramic Tiles Quality supervision and Implement Standard, and will put in practice from October 1st.

The content of the regulation includes nine aspects: product classification, the terms and definitions and scale classification of enterprises, inspection gist, sampling, inspection requirements, judging principle and back-check of the objections. This regulation is mainly used in quality supervision and selective examination of ceramic tiles which is held by the national and provincial quality technology supervision department. Other quality technology supervision department can also reference for special circumstances.

The quality supervision and related inspection standards are for the unpaved tiles, because the ceramic tiles are semi-manufactured products. The experts suggest the consumers choose the high quality tiles by look and hear. Stand 1 meter away from the tile and look vertically at the tile in enough light. You should not see obvious defects on the glazed surface. The decorative pattern of the tiles should be fine, clear, no obvious lack of color, disconnection, dislocation and other defects. The size deviation of the good quality products is smaller. The consumers can put the tiles vertically on a plane. As for the planeness, you can put the sides of two tiles closed together, to see if there are any gaps. In addition, the back of good quality ceramic tiles is very clear, few glaze mark or defect.
